ABOUT LYNN

I pride myself on bringing to the table an
open, warm, direct style, and a nonjudgmental approach.
In my own life, I have worked at turning
obstacle into opportunity, and motivate my clients to do the same.
I bring a myriad life experiences to my role as Divorce Doula and Divorce Coach. My understanding of the landscape of divorce began with my own experience of two divorces; one quite amicable, the other very difficult. The challenges of my second divorce inspired me to return to school to gain the formal education on how best to help others going through separation and divorce. Along with my training as a Family Mediator, Family Arbitrator and Parenting Coordinator, I have trained in Domestic Violence Screening and Dispute Resolution Circle Work and in Building Healthy Family Dynamics.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, I have always enjoyed challenging boundaries. I steeped myself in art, animals, and nature – threads I have woven together throughout my life. My deep commitment to working with young people and their families has helped many to discover their spiritual and emotional potential. My involvements have included opening the successful business Whimz Live Animal Programs, which provided children and adults with a unique hands-on opportunity in learning about animals and their habitats; founding a Dogwood Urban Farm, a home-based business that brings nature and sustainable living together; founding Kesher, an arts-based Cultural Heritage Program; establishing and facilitating the Toronto branch of the Mother’s Circle, which provides support to interfaith families; and I have served as a foster parent for teenage girls. In 2020, as my last child left home for university, I moved from the urban living of Midtown Toronto to a very rural area in Northern Ontario. I finally made my lifelong dream shift from Dogwood Urban Farm to Dogwood River Farm. I presently live on a small hobby farm on the banks of the Bonnechere River along with my 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 pigs (they live in the barn), and my son's 19 year tarantula. With the use of (pretty consistent) rural internet, I continue to work with clients across North America by phone and video chat.
